Coldwater species

The prawn lives in the clean, cold waters of the North Atlantic. It is found at a depth of 50–700 metres off the coast of Iceland.

Part of the ecosystem

The prawn plays an important role in the marine ecosystem and is a key food source for many species. It lives near the bottom and feeds both there and in the water column.
